Garden on a Roll
Our friends at Garden On A Roll have offered to come to a garden and plant a flowerbed! Please read the following article carefully to find out how to give this wonderful gift to a special someone.
Nomination
You can nominate yourself, a friend, or someone you feel deservers or would benefit from this gift between 1-30 June 2022. If you nominate someone else they must be aware of – and agree to – the guidelines below. Please email marina@degardeners.com with a few sentences (no more than 250 words) about why the nominated SFA occupant would benefit from a flowerbed in their garden.
Location
The garden must be an SFA garden located within 2-3 driving hours of Garden on a Roll, Bayford, Hertford, SG13 8QA, UK. This is so that Garden on a Roll can accomplish the project within working hours of 1 day.
Timescale
The submissions will be accepted between 1-30th June 2022. Promotion will occur on social media between 1-30th June 2022. A decision will be made, and the relevant people informed by 31st July 2022. The date of the installation will be decided between Garden on a Roll and the SFA occupant. The style, size and timing of the planting of the flowerbed will be at the discretion of Garden on a Roll and is nothing to do with DE Gardeners.
The Occupant
The SFA occupant must have a minimum of 1 more year left in the property. This is to ensure the plants are well maintained and fully established to reduce the risk of damage or removal of the plants when the occupant leaves. There is no age restriction of the nominee but if it is a minor, the responsible adult of the SFA must agree to the nomination.
The SFA occupant(s) must be willing to be interviewed on camera and have their garden filmed for the YouTube channel of Garden on a Roll. DE Gardeners will also use this footage and their own to promote DE Gardeners and Garden on a Roll.
Selection
This is not a competition. DE Gardeners will make a discretionary decision based on the narrative submitted and compliance with the guidelines.
